• Usage Data: Anonymized metrics on how you interact with the app (e.g., "number of quizzes generated") to help us improve system performance.
• Payment Data: Transaction history. Note: We do not store your credit card details. All financial data is handled securely by our payment processor, Lemon Squeezy.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your information solely to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Aether Study platform.
• Process your uploaded documents to generate study materials (flashcards, summaries, quizzes).
• Communicate with you regarding your account, updates, or security alerts.

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with trusted third-party service providers required to operate the app:

• AI Processors (e.g., OpenAI, Google Gemini): To generate text and reasoning. Data is sent for processing only and is not retained by them for training.
• Cloud Storage (Google Cloud Platform/Firebase): To securely store your files.
• Payment Processors (Lemon Squeezy): To handle subscriptions and billing.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

• Retention: We retain your files only as long as your account is active.
• Deletion: You may delete your account and all associated data at any time via the "Settings" page. Upon deletion, your files are permanently removed from our servers immediately.

6. Security

We use industry-standard encryption (AES-256) to protect your files at rest and SSL/TLS encryption for data in transit. While we strive to protect your data, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

7. Children's Privacy

Our service is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
